all the talk about the upcoming peace conference is just a charade. The Palestinians know it, Israel knows it, the US knows it and anybody that follows the situation knows it. How can Abu Mazen sign anything? He doesn't control Gaza or the West Bank? Nothing he signs would be worth the paper that is was written on. Same goes for Olmert. He has no mandate to agree to anything and won't be in power in a few months time. The only thing that's interesting about the talks is why America is coercing the sides into having them? The only kind of plan that might work is .. http://www.israelinitiative.com/PersonalMessage.aspx?lng=Eng I'm not saying it is the best plan but it would give the 50% of Palestinians that want to leave the opportunity to do so, and allow them to start new and better lives. The stuff that's being talked about now is simply regurgitated bull that hasn't and will not go anywhere. This might explain the ongoing settlement expansion - Mike
