KDM: "Militarily you answer fire with fire " You missed out the important rider: "proportionately". You do not respond to a cross-border incursion by levelling a country's civilian infrastructure. You do not respond to the capture of some of your servicemen by a militant group by levelling a country's civilian infrastructure. Even a country INFINITELY more power than Israel - the USA - does not do that, UNLESS it had already decided it wanted war and was simply awaiting an excuse. So what was Israel's excuse, again? KDM: "Hezbola was the first to open fire, the IDF replied accordingly." Absolutely not. It "replied disproportionately". The initial hot pursuit and the resulting artillery barrage were examples of "replying accordingly", sure. Fighting a war for 30 days was not. It was as pointless as it was counter-productive. KDM: "Any country will have reacted the same." Who, and when, Kapule? Best not to raise the Gleiwitz incident tho'.
