1. "Native" Ninth Fort was destination for many German and French Jews too, let alone local non-Jews (it was also a transition prison for thousands of Lithuanians sent to Gulags by Soviets just months prior). There's a tremendous gap between public discourse and scholarly scrutiny, in attribution of numbers of local and "imported" prisoners to "account" of local collaborators and camps both in, say, France and Lithuania. The complexity of loyalties and goals of partisans on any side, conflated to binary "perspective" I won't even mention. In the article on Dutch church you will see the same "6mln" and the patent of "final solution" all attributed no more to "Lithuanians" but to Dutch. No comprehensive Lithuanian case study was never made while the Int. Claim Committee having swept Western European countries prefers by far not to wait for the results of the joint Lithuanian/Israeli research and to base their claims on outright myths or at most on hagiographies like that of Goldhagen.
