The need to preempt Iran and export gas to Egypt was the reason the government gave to push through its controversial plan for Israel's natural gas. Now, this reason may no longer exist.08:52 31.08.15 | 1 comments
C: "If Israel is so heartless, why are the Arabs so damn stupid and intransigent?" The Arabs. Arabs. 'rabs. All the same, right, with no individual agendas? C: "If the cause for the Arab-Israeli conflict is the "occupation" then why did the conflict rage throughout the years 48 to 67 unabated when there was no occupation?" PRE-67: "no ocupation"!! The Pals prior to 1967 considered ALL the land to be occupied. Jordan wanted hegemony. Syria wanted to stymy Jordan. Egypt wanted Israel gone. All used the Pals to further their own agendas. POST '67: Pals gave up claiming pre-'67 land (such "intransigence", heh?) and now want to be left alone on the rest. Israel wants some of the WB for itself, so she won't leave them alone. That means conflict. Egypt and Syria wanted their land back. Jordan still wanted to annex the West Bank. Israel wanted to keep it all. That means conflict. Why *is* this hard to understand?
