As well as Hamas having created some good organisations for the Palestinian people, it was the party sponsored originally in the 70s by one of your PMs as a counter to Fatah; that is one way in which Israeli government affects Palestinian aspirations. Also of course, you have conveniently forgotten that, as the occupying power, it is very much Israel's responsibility to look after the welfare of its subjugated people - the Palestinians - especially after destroying so much of its agriculture and industry, thereby throwing farmers and factory workers out of work by the thousands. There is an English expression " the devil makes work for idle hands, and getting Palestinians back into useful work is Israel's best chance for peace. there are plenty of precedents for this simple and obvious fact throughout history.
