JB: "Israel told the USA that it would return almost all of the WB" PAAM: "ummm errr... i know that. tell me something i dont know." How about this, PAAM; when a nation commits itself to a course of action then it needs to honor that committment - and especially so when it convinces another nation to convey that message to a third party, and to work on her behalf to convince that third party to act on the basis of that committment. Israel spent 20 years telling the USA it had no territorial ambitions, and REITERATED that committment after 1967, and on that basis the USA, in good faith, convinced Hussein to support Res 242. Israel then immediately reneged - and in doing so proved itself to be a duplicitous, untrustworthy and unscupulous abuser of other nation's good faith. And when confronted by a very angry US Secretary of State (Dean Rusk), Abba Eban shrugged his shoulders and simply said "We changed our mind". Did you know that, PAAM?
