Dear Akram, I am not any wiser than anyone. I believe that if at all possible, Israel should refrain from re-occupying Gaza. Israel should do only what is in her own strategic interests, and should not listen to pleas from various quarters to re-occupy. Israel might, at one point, have to occupy small areas, and to engage in limited military operations. I do not much believe in the sincerity of the Syrian peace feelers. All of this is orchastrated from Iran. There is no way that Syria would cut its ties with Iran. Israel is sitting at the center of a huge storm, and she should move in any direction only if she is absolutely compelled to do so strategically, i.e., to defend herself from impending attack, or unless there are some unusual exigences. I see Gaza, and indeed large parts of the Arab world, as a huge out of control fire that should be allowed to burn itself out. If there are ways, such as undercover ops, financial manoeuvres, etc...to deprive the fire of oxygen, then yes.
