By using frivolous terms like "the world`s oldest pastime," you obscure any real points of substance. Anti-semitism is but one of many forms of bigotry, no more and no less contemptible than any other bigotry (excepr Holocaust, a unique crime in human history). I do not believe for a second that Jews have suffered more from bigotry than blacks in the US, South Africa and elsewhere, except of course, for the holocaust. Throughout history, numerous minorities have been persecuted, not just Jews. Look at the tribal massacres in Rwanda and Sudan. Several of your examples refer to the past. There is no doubt that anti-semitism has a horrible history in Europe and persists to a lesser degree there to this day. It remains a vicious form of evil in many arab countries. Anti-semitism still exists in the US but far less than bigotry against blacks, hispanics and arabs.
