Once again, I don't see how Peretz could have led a different direction from Olmert and the IDF, who weren't looking at diplomacy with the Hamas led PA gov't, especially since Hamas wouldn't accept the 3 conditions by the EU. Peretz held a clearly different approach than all Likudniks, especially being of Moroccan origin, which is a rarity because most Sephardim do not support Labour & Meretz - out of the question. But when you're within a Cabinet there's always the Groupthink issue with regards to a contenious issue such as being attacked without provocation by Hezbollah terrorists. Difficult situation to be in. I don't think Peretz should resign... He's part of Peace Now... and we need his type...as I said a rarity.
