Israel's Foreign Ministry ordered to 'reassess' EU involvement with Palestinians after decision to label West Bank goods; 'decision is almost completely devoid of any real significance,' official says.23:15 29.11.15 | 10 comments
The question is how much influence the Pope had on German and other European Catholics. Do you really think the Nazis would have murdered Pius XII for speaking out on this one subject? I think they valued his and his church's overall neutrality WAY too much for that. The reason only the Catholic Church is being criticized in this forum is obvious, the article is about their decision to make a saint out of the Pope who mostly stood by during the mass murder of 6 million people in the heartland of Christianity. Lastly I understand very few people acted adequately during the Holocaust, certainly not the American government or the American Jewish community or the Jewish community in Palestine. I wasn't around then but I probably would have responded inadequately too. Maybe enlarging the circle of criticism will make you feel less picked on.
