Although Jerusalem was originally going to be a international city and split. But you are correct about no Pal state...or people...between 48-67. In fact the Pals are NOT ever mentioned in UN Res.242 after the Six Day War because they didn't exist as a separate entity at the time. The Arabs prior to 1940 thought as themselves as Syrian, part of a greater Syria which included Trans Jordan (now Jordan) as well. This is well documented by English and Arab writers in numerous books and statements. The Arab leaders of Palestine were members of the Syrian Parliament as the historical record shows. Proving beyond question that the Palestinian Arab is a PR myth, but one that now must be dealt with no matter how unfair it is to Israel. It was...and is...the most highly successful PR creation of a people ever. We must give credit where credit is due, the Arabs clearly won that PR campaign.
