Are you kidding me? Are you asking us to believe that the immoral terror war begun by the Palestinians was going to end if Israel sat there and did nothing? It is obvious to anyone not currently dead that the military operations begun after the Netanya hotel bombing were decisively effective in squelching the homicide bombers and shooters. The difference between the US and Israeli situations is, Israel knows the people and the language and the US does not. The US was mostly starting from square one while Israel knows exactly who and what they are looking for. Makes it a lot easier to stop The international community in its call for a deal is part of what holds Israel back. The rest is the legacy of Arafat for starting this war and for failing to be a stateman and designate a successor and generally leaving it to independant groups to do whatever they want. What wasnt working in Iraq was working in Israel. No matter what is done, there will always be a level of terror, none of it acceptable, but better to have the terrorists on the run than sit there and take it. Way to tell Israel you support them (which you do not)
