D: "why risk innocent Israeli soldiers" Coz it's a soldier's job to be in the firing line? D: "to save some non-innocent Lebanese civilians?" Coz it's not a civilian's job to be in the firing line? You see, Dan, when armies come to blows it's called an "armed conflict". The people who throw the punches are called "combatants". This may surprise you (it surprises many people here) but an "armed conflict" is not a no-hold's-barred event. There are rules. BOTH sides must follow them, and EITHER side is expected to even when the OTHER side does not. Coz that's part of the rules. Now, the most import of those rules is pretty simple: TRY NOT TO SHOOT THE CIVILIANS. You and your friends have a different rule: KILL 'EM ALL AND LET GOD SORT THEM OUT. Good on you. And since those are YOUR rules why don't you all just go over THERE and fight amongst yourselves? That'd do us all a big favour...
