There was much left out. Arabs are too loquacious to encapsulate a peace offer in less that 1000 characters. The post was designed to prove false a claim that Arabs have shown no interest in peace. The fact that you and I are writing about it proves the effort successful. I altered nothing. There indeed was no mention of Israel as a Jewish state, nor should there have been. Israel declared statehood as the "State of Israel." That's its name. The UN recognizes Israel as the "State of Israel" as do the 162 nations with which Israel has relations. Its silly. 20% of Israelis are not Jews. It would be like the UK calling itself Great Anglican Britain. If Israel wants to be called the "Jewish State of Israel," change the name of the country. It's absurd to state Israel cannot go back to the '67 borders. Does anyone believe a sovereign Palestinian state would attack Israel? Nonsense. I do not intend to debate the value of the peace offer. I just intended to prove there was one.
