    I totally agree with you . Abbas and the PA in general are there because the U.S. and Israel want them to be there. Demecratically, they were rejected very clearly in the last palestinian elections and they are even more rejected these days. But unfrtunately, the U.S. and Israel want a SELECTIVE democracy in the palestinian territories not a real one because the real democracy came up with an undesirable party,HAMAS; bothnU.S. and Israel refused to deal with the demacratically elected government. PA is very weak and cannot deliver, Hamas is the party that can negotiate and can deliver.
