Jeff-- I realize the Rafah border is in the hands of the PA and Egypt but I fail to see why this has warrants closing of the border and preventing all those people from crossing. Surely, the security services on both sides can handle the inspections. That shouldn't be a problem. Most people are simple people wanting to go about the business of their daily lives. Closing the border is creating great hardships. You know, I think it is terribly cruel to block anyone's way. All animals thrive on their ability to roam and forge for food--people are no different they need to go about their business and get on with their lives. Yes, the smuggling of weapons is a concern--but that that shouldn't hold all those other people. Officials should be able to work out the kinks in the system. I should think. Is there anything else you can do or suggest. I can't let this go too many people are suffering--that's not right. We must help get this system up and running. Dutch
