Two weeks ago the Dutch government approached the Israeli foreign ministry and asked to enable Palestinian flower growers in Gaza to export their flowers to the Netherlands. Oh yes, sir. Those famous greenhouses are up and running. Palestinians produce enough fruit and vegetables in the Strip to be self sufficient and they would like very much to export the surplus along with lots of flowers. Unfortunately Minister of Foreign Affairs Livni could not honour the moderate request from the Dutch government. The Israeli army forbade it. Peter, name me any nation in the world, that would be able to run an economy under the circumstances that Palestinians have to put up with. It is high time for you to have a look around in Palestine and learn to be a bit less arrogant and condescending.
