Tess - I understand. You are a good-hearted person and at this point in my life that is about all that matters to me about anyone. Still, the Internet is, in my view, a debased form of communication; it doesn't open new worlds as deluded and would-be technocrats proclaim, but diminishes the world we have, in which the actual phsycial presence of other human beings makes possible, at times, genuine undersandings and real dialogue. I don't see any real point to the severely debased form of human community that the Internet provides or in pursuing even the positive elements of it that can arise as well; the positive elements are much too evanescent, for one thing. All best to you.
