Dear AA, You make a number of erroneous statements. One of these is that Hezbollah continues to fight even after Israel withdrew from Lebanon in 2000, after 18 years of occupation. You didn?t mention that latter point, did you? The IDF has withdrawn but the IAF continues to violate Lebanese airspace on an almost daily basis, and of course launched a bombing war against Lebanon last year killing over a thousand non-combatants. You didn?t mention that either, did you? And of course, there are the numerous assassination attempts by special forces which launch raids deep into Lebanon to effect the strikes. As long as Israel maintains a desire to strike into Lebanon then there is a need to maintain a military posture to defend against it. It appears to me that Hezbollah has done a remarkable job in deterring Israeli aggression. Somebody needs to. Regards.
