Dear AA, You say, quote, A terrorist organization is DEFINED as one which targets civilian population for the purpose of achieving political goals, regardless of what those goals might be. Unquote. I couldn?t agree more. You are absolutely spot on. And the biggest terrorist groups are of course nation states. They target civilian populations to achieve political goals. And they have the means to kill hundreds of thousands of them, or more. The use of terror for political ends is precisely what is happening in the West Bank. The IDF shoots dead hundreds of non-combatants each year to terrorise them into leaving. This is informal policy, in contrast to its use of targeted killings. Israel uses these put an end to all resistance. No collection of evidence, no trial, no prison sentence, simply a bullet to the head immediately on arrest. Israel conducts about 5-60 of these each year, all aimed at the Palestinian leadership. These are the actions of the Gestapo. Hagganah and the Irgun learnt their lessons well. Regards.
