Ezreal, how come you rush to be a party to any fantasy? At the time of the Kuwait invasion, it was explained by the mavens that the Iran-Iraq war left Saddam broke, with a national debt to Kuwait of some 60 Billion dollars. As was explained in Israel, Saddam went to rob the bank. Saddam on occassion inspired himself and his people with talks about Nebukhadnezzar, as well as Saladin. There was no action he actually took in this regard, especially not Kuwait. At no time did Saddam talk of Kuwait as being a step to Arab unification; instead, he claimed it as some historical Iraqi territory. (If you look at the borderline, you might suspect that Kuwait is indeed a bite taken out of Iraq.) In any case, no Saladin talk at the time. although it might have been called for if correct. Ezreal, I gave you my answer. I prefer not to argue about the obvious.
