"The criticism of Jews and Israel is highly disproportionate." Outside of the arab world, where there are longstanding hatreds, I do not believe this is true. Anti-semitism has been and remains a problem, as has discrimination against all who are perceived as different. In the last few centuries, setting aside the holocaust, which is unique in recorded history, I do not believe that Jews have suffered any more discrimination than blacks, gypsies, arabs and others living where they are minorities; certainly not as much as US blacks -not by a long shot. One problem, though, is definition. To Zionists, those of us who believe all people are equal, with equal rights, privileges and entitlements are anti-semitic because we dont recognize the "specialness" of the Jews & their history or give credence to what Jews say their God has said. Believe what you want, but you should not be allowed to use your beliefs as weapons to deprive others of their rights.
