the Iraqis, Al-Qaida sympathizers, are causing the attacks and terror. You know very well the cruelty capability of some former members of IDF committed, some unspeakable for me to articulate as witnessed by one of my relatives around 1967, and therefore, there's no merit to highlight the anomaly occurrences. The experience was traumatic for my relative that he even has errased it from his mind. He believes in a peaceful resolution today with our adversaries. War can bring cruelty. God help us if the Iraqi replacement to Saddam Hussein will deliver more of the same. Your statement that modernization and education will take generations is a given, but don't forget that Iraqis had been highly educated and succeeded in many fields. It's a very sad story altogether. On a brighter note, the U.S.'s Secretary of State, Condi Rice will be over soon to re-start your favourite peace proposal, the Road Map!

Pollard’s release feels like a consolation prize

The fact that the convicted spy's release is happening at such a low moment in U.S.-Israel ties casts a pall over the news.

Writing columns about ostensibly common Israeli events over the last three years was truly an education. A postscript.
