I wasn't under the impression that Israel didn't accept the result of the pals democratic election. I was under the impression that Israel didn't like the result. Big difference, Peter. Important difference. Plenty of democratic countries don't like their neighbours and some of them have even gone to war, Peter, from Berlin. I agree with Jonathan - I think a lot of pals want what everyone else wants - a job, food on the table, education for their kids, a holiday. I've always maintained that the solution to many problems in Gaza and the WB is to create a strong and vibrant merchant economy - business interests often transcend religio-political ones. The trouble is that nobody believes that Hamas will or can achieve this. The PA certainly didn't.
