The point of the discussion centers on loyalty and claim of dual nationality. For example, your namesake "Palestinian Brit" suggests where your loyalty priorities are. If you are really a Brit and live in the UK, you probably know about recent events where the loyalties of some British citizens of the Muslim faith were. Wikipedia's entry for Haj Amin al-Husseini states: "Sent into exile in 1937, Husayni collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II and helped recruit Muslims for the Waffen-SS. In 1941 al-Husayni met Adolf Hitler in Berlin and asked him to oppose the establishment of a national Jewish homeland in Palestine and 'annihilation of the Jews' in Arab lands as part of Arab struggle for independence." Loyalty here is undeniably Nazi. I wonder if Mohammed Abdel Rahman Abdel Raouf Arafat al-Qudwa al-Husseini (phew!) would have had all the official and monetary support if it were not for his ancestral connections.
