It is remarkable to observe this year after year, but Israel, which possesses one of the most sophisticated powerful armed forces in the world, also has what must be one of the most serious cases of collective paranoia the world has ever seen. Here is a Jew, Chaim, whose nation has not had a war with an Arab armed force for 36 years, hasn't seen a suicide bomber for 5 years, and could, with the lifting of an almost genocidal blockade, have seen his last rocket from a Palestinian source, is calling for a meeting at Masada. This is the same nation that has occupied Palestinian land for 42 years, violated international law and UN resolutions for not withdrawing from that territory, has built on the territory and annexed Jerusalem, is depriving 1.4 million people of nutritional basics, all in violation of the 4th Geneva Convention. And this Jew is telling us that terrorism has altered his quality of life and that, "we are occupied by terrorists." Go figure.

Why is it hard to fall in love, and even harder to sustain it?
