SDHD: "Being able to dominate someone in a war isn`t occupation, numbnut" That, ladies and gentlemen, is SDHD insisting that the German Army DIDN'T occupy Norway in WW2, which must come as quite a surprise to the Norwegians..... The difference that SDHD refuses to see: Germany was the occupying power because the laws of occupation granted it the authority to "dominate" the Quisling govt whenever (and for whatever reason) it wanted. The same is true in Gaza i.e. the disengagement plan **itself** insists that the IDF has reserved the "right" to go back into Gaza for any reason that Ariel Sharon chose to give. Indeed, the text of that plan insisted that he didn't need to give any reason at all i.e. all he needed to do was to GIVE THE ORDER to deploy back into Gaza and the IDF could... deploy back into Gaza. That's "effective control", and that is the benchmark for who has "authority" over a territory. Which is, of course, the very definition of "occupation".
