for Obama. Without Netanyahu's cooperation, the U.S. has complete justification to pursue the much more viable, and immediate, alternative of international recognition of the Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. The world does not NEED Israel's acquiescence to impose a solution, and indeed, after 40 years of Israel's extralegal activities in the occupied territories under the pretext of "security", it's become crystal clear that any expectation of a "negotiated agreement" are futile, and that the only alternative for a just resolution to the conflict is an imposed solution. Netanyahu and his thugs are doing more towards ending the occupation than they could ever imagine, as Israel's illicit hold on Palestinian territory grows ever more tenuous. For all its self-righteous bravado and arrogance, Israel can NOT withstand the overwhelming consensus of world pressure. The bubble is about to pop!
