You would have to check with your rabbi, who might be able to give you further information. Hopefully, your situation will be acceptable to the Israeli rabbinate, especially if you have been leading a Jewish life. 3 As I said before, citizenship is a separate issue from the issue of being considered Jewish. Although most Italians are Catholic, not all are. You should ask people who are much more knowledgeable than I am. You should ask people whom you can trust personally and religiously.
