jews have been away for 1700 years and then return, especially when they come from Europe,Russia and a few days ago from U.S.(no doubt to occupy the units built for them after driving out the Bedouin from their land and Palestinians from East Jerusalem) and the Settlers are just that ,then the Palestinians who are being pushed out of their homes and land(where they have been for centuries)complain & that is the crux of the problem. Shimon Peres said in his speech,we must get rid of the occupied territories.Sounds great, but since there is a large swathe of Palestinian territory on which israel has generously built settlements, there is an additional problem.Withdrawal from ALL occupied territory is just fine. The settlers will have to be removed kicking and screaming back to israel proper. There is the alternative that they can go back to Europe or Russia or wherever they came from and 'turn their faces to israel' whenever they want.As long as they don't return and terrorise the Palestinian
