Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.01:12 01.05.16 | 4 comments
Virtually all muslims ARE peaceful. Again to use the UK as an example, first generation muslim immigrants have been statistically shown over and over to be the most law-abiding section of UK society. Most Arabs are more concerned about their day to day lives than dreaming up more ways to kill infidels, but demonstrations against "descration of Islam" is one of the few outlets they have in ME dictatorships. Salah may talk big but the actual number of people who went to the dome was but a tiny, tiny fraction of muslims in Israel. If you bother to talk to Israeli Arabs what you normally get is a fatalism about how all the politicians are as bad as each other and how NONE represent them and ALL promise the world and NONE delivered. I spoke to a group in a village near Haifa and they told me that they had voted for every party including even Mafdal - the religious Nationalist group - and Shas and now they don't bother voting at all as they are all liars.
