Hi Yaakov- I generally agree with much of what you say and appreciate you're doing it. But is there really a growing mindset like this in Israel? Is there really a movement to lionise Yigal Amir and release him from prison? I'm asking because I don't know, not to imply disagreement. Any moderate/rational websites discussing these phenomena? But I also have to question you're wishing ill on his children. I don't know Judiasm well and am uncertain about the importance of circumsision. If it's like baptism is to Christians, this seems extremely harsh. I don't think the sins of the father should be visited upon his children. I'm not sure where I've read this, but I thought it was part of the Torah/Old Testament. I also disagree about US Jews. They're very well integrated in our society (aren't you?) and, like US Muslims, are less likely than their European counterparts to be extreme. Israelis are a different matter. I do not trust most of them.

Road to civil marriage runs through same-sex divorce

In Israel, even Jewish couples who were married outside of the country can only be granted a divorce by the Rabbinate. Thus, same-sex couples who wish to separate find themselves in a legal lacuna.
