Khalid, name one Islamic country outside of Turkey, that does NOT recognize Islam as the pre-eminent inspiration for its laws and government. Or that has NOT engaged in racist persecution of groups or peoples who fall afoul of the ruling cliques' definition of Islam or, outside of Iran, interpretation of the "Arab nation" or "Arab nationhood". Hamas doesn't have to do anything. They, unlike Yossi, are adults and live in the real world rather than in the fantasy kingdom of magic diplomatic preoccupations. But should Hamas attempt to pursue a path of statecraft based on these humorous rejections of Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state, there will be an inevitable postponing of the date the Palestinian state you champion with this fictional view of history is recognized, well into the misty, legendary future of Arab myth.

Why the Jewish establishment won’t condemn the occupation

Unless more U.S. Jews who oppose the occupation become members of established Jewish organizations and donate money, the establishment is unlikely to heed calls of those who want it to condemn the occupation.
