Dear Cipora, You say, quote, ?It is not acceptable that a single individual can have the right to haul into his domestic courts a foreign citizen for an alleged crime committed outside of the domestic court`s jurisdiction?. Why not? If murder has been committed, then those with blood on their hands must walk in fear of being arrested, and if find guilty, of being put behind bars for a very long time. If and when Dichter is arrested, it would then be decided which court has the best jurisdiction. Like Milosevic, Dichter could well end up in The Hague. Of course, what will actually happen is that the UK will become out-of-bounds for any Israeli with a dodgy war record. I think that is no bad thing. It will at least remind the Israeli military authorities that they are being held accountable for their murderous actions against unarmed civilians. All in all, I think it is a very positive move that citizens can make arrests on behalf of victims in other parts of the world. This is after all the era of the global village. We must show a collective determination to bring to justice war criminals wherever they may be hiding. Regards
