while you are correct, its not all members, I would guess at least 50% of our conservative membership is Kosher, maybe 75%. If it were easier to get Kosher food I would suspect even more would be. As for observing Shabbat, at least 25% are at services. Many are Shomer Shabbat, which isnt easy during a snow storm. Personally, I think driving to Synagogue for Shabbat is better than not going, especially if you live more than 1 mile away. In the US its not always easy to live within walking distance of Synagogues. They are popular places to live. I have been a member of 3 of Shuls in a few parts of the US and if its a good representation of Conservative Judaism in Israel, I'd say my numbers are approximately correct, maybe lower on Kosher observance. Again, this has to do with access more than anything.
