Top Palestinian negotiator Erekat hospitalized following heart attack
Head of Ramallah hospital in West Bank says 57-year-old Saeb Erekat will remain under supervision in hospital for three days.
Top Palestinian peace negotiator Saeb Erekat was hospitalized early on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack, according to a senior medical official.
Dr. Ahmed Bitwai, head of Ramallah hospital in the West Bank, says Saeb Erekat had a "sharp" attack early on Tuesday and was taken to the hospital for a heart
He says the 57-year-old Erekat will remain in hospital for three days for supervision.
Erekat has been a leading negotiator in peace talks with Israel over the past two decades.
