The upheaval at Tnuva and the lower prices in the dairy industry are certainly a good start, but what about the big supermarket chains, Super-Sol and Mega; what about the multi-channel television broadcasters HOT and Yes; what about cellular firms Partner, Cellcom and Pelephone; and what about Coca Cola and Gillette?

The consumers' struggles continue and include more big companies that provide the public with services at too high a price.

Yesterday's achievement was on the level of the report of the Trajtenberg committee on socioeconomic change. The three large dairies announced significant price cuts on many products, which will be passed on to consumers immediately.

The dairies gave in without any regulator pressuring them, without any Knesset members getting any media coverage and without the government committee appointed to study high food prices doing anything at all.
