For the first time in 25 years, the state is acting directly against managers who have violated their trust, by taking legal action to force them to personally pay back money - including placing liens on all their personal property.

The state claims the National Workers Organization's pension fund lost, or were defrauded of, at least NIS 200 million. As a result, the fund was nationalized. The state is thus demanding NIS 190 million from former finance minister Abraham Hirchson and Michael Zoller, who headed the NWO, and the courts have already approved liens on all their assets. Hirchson is now in prison crimes related to the affair. )
