Tal Ben Haim signs for two years at Hapoel Tel Aviv

Following drawn-out negotiations, Maccabi Petah Tikva's unsettled striker Tal Ben Haim finally signed a two-year contract to play for Hapoel Tel Aviv on Monday evening. Ben Haim (not to be confused with the eponymous defender who plays for English club Portsmouth ) left yesterday with his new teammates for a training camp in Hungary. Maccabi Petah Tikva, which was relegated to the second-tier National League last season, has effectively loaned the player to Hapoel Tel Aviv, in the hope of reattaining his services for the 2014-15 season. Ben Haim will earn about $180,000 a season. (Moshe Harush )

PSG reach agreement to sign Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Paris St Germain has reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Ligue 1 club's general manager Leonardo said yesterday. "An agreement has been reached and he [Ibrahimovic] will be having his medical tomorrow (Wednesday )," Leonardo told reporters outside the Parc des Princes. "It's a great year for PSG. That such a player is coming here is enormous, it can change everything." PSG announced on the club's official website that they would be holding a news conference at 1300 GMT today when the striker is expected to be presented. "It's a deal. I can confirm that," Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola told Swedish news agency TT earlier yesterday. Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi announced last week that he had sold Ibrahimovic, top scorer in Serie A last season, and defender Thiago Silva to the big-spending French club who were taken over by Qatari investors last year. Ibrahimovic, 30, will join Argentine forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, who signed for PSG earlier this month. (Reuters )
