Shootings in north leave two men and a toddler wounded
Separate incidents occurred near Carmiel and old city of Acre; police still looking into circumstances.
Two separate shooting incidents in the north before dawn on Monday left a number of people wounded, including a toddler.
The 2-year-old was lightly wounded and a 28-year-old man sustained light to moderate wounds when shot in the old city of Acre. The child was on his way to kindergarten, accompanied by his three older sisters, when the incident occurred.
Police have arrested five suspects over the incident, which they believe was the result of an inter-family feud.
A resident of the village of Nehef, near Carmiel, was also hospitalized overnight with moderate wounds in a separate shooting.
According to police, the 27-year-old was wounded by masked gunmen, but the circumstances of the incident are still unclear.
