At meetings of the New Green Movement-Meimad around the country, the campaign manager urged party members to create "buzz." He distributed flash cards bearing party slogans and policy sound bytes, encouraging members to pass them out to pedestrians, bus passengers - in short, anybody - and to engage them in conversations about political issues.

The New Green Movement was formed by activists disillusioned with existing parties' commitment to environmental issues.

Meimad (an acronym for Jewish State, Democratic State) is a left-wing religious Zionist party led by Rabbi Michael Melchior. Recent polls show the party has not reached the threshold for Knesset representation, but many members are convinced their "buzz" will nonetheless lead them into the electoral promised land.
