Man moderately wounded in stabbing at Elad yeshiva
Police investigate possibility that the MDA crew that assisted the victims was also attacked.
A resident of Elad was moderately wounded after he was stabbed in the waist in one of the city's Yeshivas. The victim was taken to Beilinson Hospital in moderate condition.
Police found the suspected attacker, who had apparently been injured after the stabbing, with wounds all over his body. The suspect was taken to questioning and will also be brought to Petah Tikva court for extension of his remand.
The first incident took place around 10 PM. The Yarkon based crew who received the call found the victim with cuts in his neck and shoulders. The victim was hospitalized in Petah Tikva's Beilinson Hospital in serious condition.
When leaving the city the MDA paramedics faces a mob of youths who attempted to stop the ambulance in order to get a glance of the victim inside the vehicle. Police are investigating possibility that the crew was attacked by the youths.
Rosh Ha'ain Police arrived at the scene and launched a search for the suspected stabber as well as other youths who were allegedly involved in the brawl.
In a seperate incident in the city, preliminary investigation reveals that a number of adolescents, some just recently released from police custody, began badgering a couple passing by. The husband asked that they stop and was attacked and stabbed.
Several hours later police located three of the attackers, one 18 and two 15-year-olds, arrested them and took them to investigation.
The two will be brought to the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court Saturday evening for a remand extension.
