Sara Yaso, a 37-year-old Be'er Sheva woman, was found decapitated in her apartment on Thursday morning.

Police suspect the murder was committee by the woman's husband, who was arrested and is expected to be brought before a judge on Thursday.

Police forces arrived at the scene at around 5 A.M., after the husband called the police and told them that he and his wife were about to commit suicide. However, when the police arrived they found only the wife's body, while the husband was nowhere to be found. After extensive searches, the man was apprehended near a local prison where he works as a guard. The man was allegedly drunk when he committed the act.

The police further reported that the man locked the couple's three children in one room while he committed the act. The three were transferred to the Be'er Sheva Welfare Department.

According to a friend of the woman, there had been rumors about violence in the family, although the woman always denied them.

The incident comes weeks after a Be'er Sheva resident was stabbed to death when he went to confront a group of teens making noise outside his apartment late at night.
