Israel court convicts one of Fogel family murderers
Hakim Awad from nearby village of Awarta pleads guilty to murder of five members of Fogel family in West Bank home in March.
The Shomron Military Court convicted Hakim Awad on Tuesday of murdering the Fogel family in the West Bank settlement of Itamar in March.
Awad, an 18-year-old from the nearby village of Awarta pleaded guilty to the charges in the indictment against him, which implicated him along with his accomplice Amjad Awad, who is 19-years-old, in the murder of five members of the Fogel family in their home.
Both have confessed to the murder, and the military prosecution in the case say there is forensic evidence linking them to the scene of the crime, including DNA samples and fingerprints.
Five members of the Fogel family were brutally stabbed to death in their home in the West Bank settlement of Ita-mar on the night of March 11th. The murderers killed Ehud and Ruth Fogel, along with three of their young child-ren, Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and Hadas, 3 months old, before fleeing the scene.
