Israel Broadcast Authority to air documentary about Netanyahu's father
Documentary will air on Sunday, May 6, at 9:45 P.M.
The Israel Broadcasting Authority is set to air a documentary next week about the life and work of Prof. Benzion Netanyahu, the 102-year-old historian and father of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The prime minister is the minister responsible for the IBA.
During the film, Netanyahu's sons, the premier and Dr. Ido Netanyahu, speak about their childhood, their education and the influence their father had on their lives. Prof. Netanyahu will also speak about his son Yoni, who was killed during the daring rescue of hostages in Entebbe, Uganda, in 1976. The film will feature rare family photos.
The documentary, which will air on Sunday, May 6, at 9:45 P.M., was directed and produced by Moshe Levinson of Profile Productions Ltd. in cooperation with Channel 1, and with the support of the Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts, the Gesher Foundation, and the Payis Council for Culture and the Arts.
