IDF launches three Gaza strikes in response to rocket fire
No casualties were reported in Israel Air Force strikes; Grad rocket explodes in Netivot earlier Friday.
The Israel Defense Forces launched three strikes in the Gaza Strip overnight Friday, after a Grad rocket exploded in the southern Israeli city of Netivot earlier that day.
The IDF Spokesperson said the Israel Air Force attacked one target in northern Gaza and two more in the central Gaza Strip. No casualties were reported.
On Friday evening, a Grad rocket exploded in the backyard of a house in Netivot, causing light damage to the house.
On Monday, the IDF struck a number of sites in Gaza in response to a barrage of rocket and mortar fire, for which the armed wing of Hamas and Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility.
The rocket fire, which continued throughout the morning hours on Monday, was in response to the IDF targeting two Gaza militants - killing one of them and injuring 11 civilians - the previous night.
