Four children were seriously injured in a car accident between a truck and private car near Modi'in on Monday. The children's mother, who was driving the car at the time of the accident was moderately injured.

One of the children, a 10-year-old boy, was admitted to Tel Hashomer's Sheba Medical Center in critical condition. His three siblings, ages six, two and one, were also admitted to the hospital in serious condition.

An initial investigation into the accident reveals that the truck was turning on Highway 444 but got stuck in traffic. The mother, who was driving her private car, did not notice that the truck had stopped and subsequently slammed into it. The road showed no signs that she had attempted to brake before hitting the truck.

A witness at the scene of the accident said that the car hit the truck at a "high speed," and described the subsequent scene as very bloody.

On Saturday, two people were killed in a car accident between a truck and two private vehicles at the Mashabei Sadeh Junction in the southern part of the country.
