Comptroller to probe performance of Home Front Command in facing rocket attacks
Probe to gauge how much gov't implemented findings made by Winograd Committee on the Second Lebanon War.
The Comptroller's Office will make an assessment next week of the performance of the Home Front Command and other authorities in defending civilians against rocket attacks from Gaza.
The evaluation will gauge to what extent recommendations made byState Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss after the Second Lebanon War for how to improve the Home Front command have been implemented.
A team headed by Lindenstrauss will tour southern communities hit by rocket attacks, in particular ones that have been hit by grad missiles.
The team will also include the head of the Israel Defense Forces comptroller unit, as well as the local authorities review board.
