Canadian-born Kathleen Reiter was declared the winner on the first season of Israel’s reality talent show “The Voice” Saturday night.
The final, which took place near Jerusalem, included Reiter, from pop star Sarit Hadad’s team, as well as finalist Raz Shmueli who was mentored by rocker Aviv Geffen.
Tzachi Halevi and Hanan Ben-Simon, both of singer Rami Kleinstein’s team, did not make it to the final round.
The show’s first season received exceptionally high ratings, enjoying an average viewership of 30.4% across all sectors of Israeli society.
The finalists will set off for a country-wide tour in May, where they will perform their best-known songs, along with some of the songs that made their mentors famous.
