Toddler seriously wounded in south Tel Aviv stabbing
Man who police say was inebriated attacks Eritrean woman and her 16-month-old daughter; toddler hospitalized in serious condition.
A toddler sustained serious wounds on Friday evening after being stabbed by a man at the entrance to the central bus station in south Tel Aviv.
According to the police, the man – who was inebriated – walked up to an Eritrean woman who was holding her 16-month-old daughter, and stabbed the toddler with a sharp object.
The toddler was seriously wounded and taken to Ichilov Hospital. The suspect, in his 50s, escaped but was apprehended shortly after the incident. The police added the man is mentally unstable and that he was taken for questioning.
